The Hobart Arena is a 3,782-seat multi-purpose arena in Troy, Ohio. It officially opened with 10 sold out performances of Holiday on Ice in September 1950. The Hobart Arena was the first Ohio venue for Elvis Presley, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Nat King Cole, Tex Ritter, Sonja Henie, Victor Borge, Liberace, Guy Lombardo, and Patti Page.
Hobart Arena was the home of the Troy Bruins of the International Hockey League (1945-2001) from 1951 through 1959.
As a concert venue the arena can seat up to 5,282; and when used for trade shows the arena can accommodate 15,725 square feet (1,460.9 m2) of space. The arena contains four permanent concession stands, four dressing rooms and a referee's room, seven box-office windows, and a ceiling height of only 34 feet (10 m).
It has been the home of the Miami Valley Silverbacks indoor football team of the CIFL since 2006.

Arena Summary:
Since the completion of an extensive nearly $2 million renovation in 2001, the City of Troy has been actively pursuing a primary winter tenant for the building. Although the Troy High School hockey team has played it’s 10-12 game home schedule at Hobart for years, plenty of prime dates and times remain available.
The arena is also home to the Troy Rec. department youth hockey program, the Troy Skating club, and since the major renovation completed in 2001, the Troy Hall of Fame. The facility also hosts Ohio high school sectional basketball tournaments each year and Since 2004, the Dayton Bombers (ECHL) played a few regular season games at Hobart each year.
